The Artistic Swimming World Cup arrives at the Olympic Aquatic Center in Saint Denis, France. And on this first day there is immediate satisfaction for Italy, which takes the third place in the men’s technical only with Filippo Pelati.

The seventeen-year-old from Ferrara once again confirms his growth by taking the fourth podium of his season after the two victories in solo free and mixed duo free and the other third place in technical solo, all placings obtained in the first World Cup event in Beijing. For him today a score of 193.6651 (72.6000 of artistic impression and 121.0651 of execution) which places him behind the Colombian Gustavo Sanchez, bronze at the last World Championships in Doha (209.8133) and the American Kenneth Gaudet (197.4216).

A third place which, however, has a completely different value compared to that of last month, when he finished third but out of three participants and with a test with too many errors, so much so that he lowered his difficulty coefficient to a single figure (9.6000). And especially, today he managed to put the winner of Beijing, the Spaniard Jordi Caceres Iglesias (193.4300), behind him by two tenths of a point.

Pelati’s commitment is not over yet. Tomorrow he will be the protagonist in the mixed technical duo with Sarah Maria Rizea, while in the free mixed duo he will pair with Flaminia Paint. This last race will take place on Sunday, together with that of the men’s freestyle only.
