Mazda news 2026, new models arriving

In 2025 Mazda presented several new features including the brand new Mazda 6e, an electric sedan resulting from the collaboration with Changan which we have already had the opportunity to try recently. Furthermore, the car manufacturer has unveiled the new generation of the CX-5, a very important SUV that we will soon see on Italian roads. 2026 will be equally interesting given that some new features are on the way, including commercial launches and actual debuts. So, what can we expect from the 2026 of Mazda? Here’s what’s coming, at least based on what we know today.

MAZDA CX-5

The new Mazda CX-5 can already be ordered but has not yet arrived on the roads of our country. The first deliveries of the SUV are in fact expected shortly, starting from January 2026. We remind you that the new model measures 4,690mm long x 1,860mm wide x 1,695mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,815mm. There are available bags for luggage 583 liters which can rise to 2,019 liters by folding down the rear seat backrests. Mazda has the style of the CX-5 has evolved without distorting it, maintaining that silhouette that has always characterized it. Massive shapes with muscular wheel arches, while the raising of the front increases the visual presence of the vehicle, offering an even more robust front end.

As far as engines are concerned, the new SUV is currently offered only with the engine gasoline e-Skyactiv G 2.5 in combination with 24V Mazda M Hybrid mild-hybrid technology. This is a 4 cylinders of 2.5 litres able to deliver one maximum power of 141 HP (104 kW) and torque of 238 Nm. The gearbox is a 6-speed automatic and if desired the SUV can also be had with all-wheel drive. Prices start from 35,900 euros.

MAZDA CX-6E

The name is still provisional but we know that an electric SUV is on the way which could be called Mazda CX-6e. We have already seen spy photos and in fact, we already know what it will be like given that this model is none other than the European version of the Mazda EZ-60, a joint project created with the partner cinese Changan. Recall that Mazda EZ-60 measures 4,850mm long x 1,935mm wide x 1,620mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,902mm. The interior has a minimalist style and there is a lot of technology. In particular, the board is dominated by a 26.45 inch 5K ultra-wide maxi screen through which it will be possible to view driving information and access all the functions of the infotainment system. In China, the electric SUV offers a 190 kW engine powered by a LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery 77,94 kWhwhich guarantees a CLTC autonomy of 600 km. On the Chinese market the SUV is also offered in a range extender version which is not expected to arrive in Europe.

MAZDA CX-60

The new features for the 2026 Model Year have already been announced. Some targeted changes are coming to the SUV that will make it even more interesting. Alongside some improvements to the standard equipment, the SUV will offer a series of technologies safety and driving assistance first introduced on the flagship CX-80. There is also news on the technology side with the introduction of the voice assistant in the infotainment system Alexa. However, the most interesting news about the 2026 Mazda CX-60 concerns the engines. In fact, the SUV is approved to use the biofuel HVO 100that is, theHydrotreated Vegetable Oil 100a biofuel obtained from plant waste. The arrival in Italy is expected for next spring.

MAZDA CX-80

The new features for the Mazda CX-80 are very similar to those described above for the CX-60. Therefore, better standard equipment in addition to the introduction of the system Driver Emergency Assist which, combined with the driver monitoring system, is able to detect any medical problems. Furthermore, this SUV has also received approval to use the HVO 100 biofuel, Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil 100. It will arrive in Italy next spring.
