INSPIRED BY THE CONCEPT
A mid-2027 the seventh generation of one of the most popular small cars in Europe will arrive: the Opel Corsa. The new model will have some stylistic elements taken from the GSE Vision Gran Turismo prototype (Who to find out more), naturally stripped of the “extremisms” of concept cars, for one sober style and not too far from that of the current generation.
In the our designs can notice an evolution of mask closed black called Opel Vizor, which also complements the subtle ones go in a single black panel in which the illuminated brand logo stands out. Also at rearwe expect a horizontal trend of fanswith a bright design that reflects the pattern of the front lights and places the illuminated Opel writing in the centre. As on other recent cars from the German brand belonging to the Stellantis group, it will also be possible to order the Corsa roof contrasting.
THE SEVENTH WILL BE ELECTRIC ONLY
The planning of the seventh Opel Corsa it began in a period in which it was thought that electric cars would have a greater growth than what actually occurred. Built on the new platform STLA Smallin common with the next generation of the Peugeot 208 and intended to replace the CMP currently used on compact cars, will be electric only: we expect engines of at least 150 HP and a range of around 400 km.
DOUBLE RAIL
The current Opel Corsa (presented in 2019 and updated in 2023) she will not be sent into retirementbut it will be renewed again in terms of appearance and technologies according to a “double track” strategy which will also affect its cousin 208. No radical changes are foreseen either on the design or engine front: with the introduction of the new models the current electric versions will obviously be withdrawn, but the variants will remain on the list mild hybrid based on the 1.2 three-cylinder 110 or 145 HP, combined with the dual-clutch robotic gearbox, in all likelihood also combined with the more accessible non-electrified 101 HP option.
