Rome, 1 July. – Sicily, with its magic and its colours, cradle of Mediterranean culture, hosts the fifth edition of the Italian Film Festival, an important international festival of cinema and beyond.
Actress Ornella Muti will be the godmother of the “Made in Sicily” Film Festival, which will take place starting this evening with the final evenings, scheduled for Friday 5th and Saturday 6th, hosted in the evocative setting of the Greek Theatre of Tindari.
Ornella Muti, one of the most acclaimed Italian actresses of international fame, will also receive a well-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award during the event.
Not just cinema, but a lot of culture will characterize the fifth edition of the Festival.
Ample space will be given to literature with the presentation of books by Liana Orfei, Pino Ammendola and Biagio Maimone.

The journalist Maimone this evening, at 7.30 pm, in the Hotel Club La Playa, in Patti Marina, on the opening evening of the Italian Film Festival, will present his book “Creative communication for socio-humanitarian development” sponsored by the institute Italian Culture of New York.
The moderator will be film critic Claudio Gentile (Rai Cinema-Sncci), as well as Artistic Director of the Italian Film Festival and face of Rai Offerta Estero.
In his book, the journalist highlights the need to create a new communication model that places human relationships at the center and, even more, the moral and human emancipation of today’s society.

The program of the Italian Film Festival is noteworthy, ranging from screenings, meetings, debates and masterclasses and featuring actors, producers, directors and screenwriters, critics and voice actors.
