The long-awaited 2024 edition of BITLibri is about to begin, bringing with it a breath of culture and entertainment to Bari and its province. Theme chosen for this edition: FROM PAPER TO THE SMALL SCREEN because we will remember the 70 years of TV.
This event, which has now become a point of reference for lovers of books and culture in general, will see the participation of illustrious guests and numerous events designed for all ages. Bitlibri, sponsored by the Puglia Region, the Municipality of Bitritto, the University of Bari and the RAI, is organized by the CENTRO ITALIANO FEMMINILE (C. Maremonti and P. Masellis, M. Diana), in collaboration with LIBRERIA LIBRIAMOCI (Christian Bavaro), POETRY IN ACTION (Marcella Signorile) and THE PRINCIPLES OF THE BOOK and the support of numerous sponsors.

Super guests and books to discover
Among the protagonists of this edition stand out notable names such as Prof. Luciano Canfora, a well-known philologist, historian and Greek scholar, the nationally renowned actor Ettore Bassi, as well as the poet, writer and playwright Davide Rondoni. The presence of these personalities gives further prestige to the event, which promises to be full of interesting events. There will be numerous books presented, thanks also to the presence of the Associazione Pugliese Editori which, with the “Libri around” camper, will welcome authors and publishers.
Musical crossovers are planned between the words with the Sax of Anna Paola De Biase and the piano of Lorenzo Mondelli. Paola Martelli will be the narrator of these two evenings.

Saturday 22 June: Opening of the festival
Saturday 22 June, as scheduled, will feature speeches by: Stefano Bronzini, Luciano Canfora, Enzo Quarto, Chiara Scardicchio, Giancarlo Fiume, Antonella Daloiso, Domenico Mortellaro, Francesco Minervini, Onofrio Pagone, Antonio Decaro, Katia Berlingerio.
Starting from 7.00 pm, the BITLibri will also host the clowns of the “Teniamoci per Mano Onlus” association, specialized in clown therapy. This event, called “AnimaClown”, will be an unmissable opportunity for adults and children, especially for children, who will be able to have fun with games and smiles thanks to the contagious energy of the clowns.
Sunday 23 June: Drawing and Monologue Competition by Ettore Bassi
On Sunday 23 June, BITLibri still reserves surprises for the little ones with a “drawing competition” led by the artist Maria Pierno. Children will be able to express their creativity and the first three classified will receive a special prize. In addition to the race, there will be other competitions and artistic activities that will make the day exciting and full of emotions.
The evening will feature speeches by: Piero Meli, Manuela Antonacci, Nando Nunziante, Francesca Palumbo, Antonio Gelormini, Giandomenico Vaccari, Nicola Scardicchio, Lucia Diomede, Nicola De Matteo, Margherita Diana, Davide Rondoni. The evening will end with a moment of reflection and entertainment. Ettore Bassi, renowned actor, will hold a monologue that promises to leave the audience with important food for thought. His speech will be the perfect culmination to close this edition of BITLibri in style, offering a performance that touches the heart and mind.
