What do books like Harry Potter, Huckleberry Finn, The Odyssey, The Divine Comedy, Pride and Prejudice, The Betrothed, The Bible have in common? Apparently nothing given that they belong to different eras and genres but it is possible to condense them in an improvised way and make an amazing summary in… an hour and a half. In fact, this long will last the show on stage tonight at 9.30pm at the Court of Sculptures (Campolmi centre), a privileged place and fascinating setting which, when the sun goes down, once again becomes one of the locations of the “Prato Estate” exhibition organized by the Department of Culture of Common.

“All the books in the world, or almost, in 90 minutes”, with the actors Roberto Andrioli, Fabrizio Checcacci and Lorenzo Degl’Innocenti, sees the return of La Macchina del Suono with a new theatrical work by Rds (Reduced Shakespeare Company), a fireworks display during which the three actors will alternate on stage confronting the audience in a continuous and irresistibly comic dialogue, an exhilarating roller coaster ride through a comically compact collection of the greatest literature in the world.

An evening which will see on stage, as the title of the show suggests, over 90 books in 90 minutes: the pretext is an intensive literature course, ninety minutes before the remedial exam, in which all the great world literature must be explained in very short time. It doesn’t matter if you are a high-level literate person to appreciate this update of the greatest successes of literature, including Huckleberry Finn, the Odyssey, The Divine Comedy, Pride and Prejudice, The Bible, Harry Potter, The Betrothed and many pages that make part of our training with often indelible memories.

A grotesque and fun journey that creates moments of play and interaction with the audience during which voices in the audience will echo like “I read it!”. Laughter guaranteed! Entrance to the show is free while seats last.
