Wednesday with crickets in the head – Presentation of the book “Vedo”

Last glow for the literary review of “Wednesdays with crickets in the head” which is approaching the conclusion of its second cycle of weekly meetings with narrators and poets from Piacenza: Wednesday 19th at 6pm Alessandro Bersani, 63 years old, professional photographer of national importance, proposes, as the penultimate meeting of the event at the Scuola Azzurra headquarters in Via Roma at 163 of the volunteering and social inclusion organization Fabbrica&Nuvole, the presentation of the book “Vedo”, subtitle “How to exploit your potential to live a real life without limitations” .

A debut in the field of fiction that starts from the story personally experienced by Alessandro, forced since birth into a world of shadows and without colours: “I can’t distinguish the red traffic light”, he says, “and guessing which bus is arriving at a multiple stops is a significant problem, the indication of the number and therefore of the line is made for sighted people, certainly not for the blind or visually impaired”. In short, a life full of obstacles but never giving up and this is the meaning of the book which wants to be a message for others, a testimony for anyone who may find themselves in difficulty. Reacting with stubbornness without ever giving up and Alessandro’s life demonstrates how character, strength of mind, knowing how to believe in one’s own strengths can lead to unthinkable, incredible results. As in the case of a visually impaired person who, having first graduated as an accountant, then an IT technician, even becomes a photographer. But not just any photographer: in fact, reports of him have been published by il Domenica di Repubblica as well as by national car and motorbike magazines. Furthermore: he has published books on architecture, about fifteen monographs, several catalogues, he has followed 11 editions of the Mille Miglia, he has portrayed 160 characters, reproduced works of art, worked in a studio in Milan in the field of fashion without denying himself the habit of showing , during the short interview, moving images of a recent street demonstration and the related procession.

The appointment is therefore for Wednesday 19th starting from 6pm with the introductory speech by the president of the association Bernardo Carli followed by the speeches of Dr. Carlo Giarelli, medical specialist in surgery and Dr. Chiara Morini, specialist in ophthalmology at the Presidium’s ophthalmology department Hospitaller of our Guglielmo da Saliceto. Moderator of the evening as usual was Claudio Arzani, a writer and poet in his own right. Finally, at the end of the evening, the usual farewell buffet.
