Genovesi is in the Library on June 19th

At ‘Capital Encounters’ it’s crime time with Roberto Genovesi’s latest book “Il reaper di angeli” (Newton Compton Editori) which the author will present on Wednesday 19 June at 9pm in dialogue with the journalist Tiziano Mancini at the San Giovanni Library.

Director of Rai Libri, journalist, writer, screenwriter and television author, after “The boy who liberated Auschwitz” published last year, Genovesi (below) returns to try his hand at historical crime fiction by telling a story set in Rome in 1938. The fascist leaders they are intent on celebrating the imminent arrival of the Führer on a visit to the capital, but the mysterious disappearance of a little girl opens up disturbing scenarios and brings to light a news story that had shocked investigators and public opinion years earlier. Commissioner Toscanini will not stop searching for the truth among mysteries, crimes and political intrigues, in a crescendo capable of keeping the reader glued to the story, from page to page.

The next appointment with the ‘Capital Encounters’ will be with the writer and journalist Annarita Briganti who will present her latest book “Maria Callas. The human diva” (Cairo) in Pesaro on Wednesday 26 June in dialogue with the journalist Elisabetta Rossi (7 pm, at Palazzo Gradari). The initiative is promoted by Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture in collaboration with Passaggi Cultura. Entry to the meetings is free while seats last.
