Arce, Serena Bortone, once again a prestigious guest at the “Spring Books” literary event

Serena Bortoneonce again a prestigious guest at the literary festival “Spring Books” of Arce. The journalist, author and television presenter will speak on Monday 27 May 2024, at 6.30 pm, at the municipal theater hall in Corso Umberto I to present her book “To you close so sweet”, published by Rizzoli.

A story of love and friendship set in Rome at the end of the 80s, told with a biting and fresh prose, in a season of life in which feelings seem to prevail over everything, dragging the reader into a vortex oscillating between illusion and abrupt return to reality. A book that delivers the portrait of a generation that, deep down, discovered that it had never been as free as they made it believe.

The first novel by the presenter of “Chesarà…”, broadcast every Saturday and Sunday in prime time on RaiTre, is enjoying enormous success with the public and critics. Her presentations around bookshops and exhibitions in Italy always generate great affection and great participation.

«Arce – said the Mayor Luigi Germani and the Councilor for Culture Alessandro Proia – awaits with open arms and with much affection the return of Serena Bortone to her “honorary” country. On 2 October 2022 we awarded him honorary citizenship with a memorable ceremony, an occasion in which we remembered his Ciociaria origins, thanks to his grandmother from Arce and his grandfather from Ceprano. Now, with the publication of her first novel, we couldn’t not have her as a guest in our Spring Books review. We look forward to seeing you in Arce on Monday 27th, at 6.30pm, in the theater room.”

It will be a conversation with Serena Bortone Alessio Marzilli young director and content creator, known to the general public for his participation in Propaganda Live, a cult La7 program hosted by Diego “Zoro” Bianchi.

Entrance is free and free while seats in the room are full.
