Books 2024: “Chronicles from elsewhere”

The volume will be in bookstores from the end of January 2024 with the translation of Francesca Cosi And Alessandra Repossi.

Characterized by a great variety of styles and approaches, these 10 stories were published between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century.

In the texts created during the years of scientific studies, the author presents a mysterious fact.

After addressing it in horror style or with a humorous tone, he then provides readers with a sensible and logical solution, revealed with skill.

In the 3 stories of recent years, which therefore date back to the author’s maturity, Wells demonstrates the commitment he dedicated in that period to sociological and scientific speculation.

The prose becomes more multifaceted and the mystery no longer requires a rational explanation.

Enigmatic, fantastic, thoughtful and visionary, in “Chronicles from elsewhereH. G. Wells manifests all his kaleidoscopic talent.

Chronicles from elsewhere“, among the most recent books to read, is undoubtedly a fascinating and profound work.
