The author
Herbert George Wells (1866-1946) was a British writer.
Author of some of the fundamental works of science fiction, he is remembered as one of the initiators of this narrative genre.
His varied literary production includes more than 90 short stories, over 50 novels and around sixty themed essays:

Coming from a family of modest social conditions, he studied self-taught.
In 1888 he graduated in science from the University of London.
From 1893 he devoted himself to journalism and in 1895 he published his first book.
