The Eum publishing house at the book fair

New participation of the University of Macerata at the Turin Book Fair to present the last two releases of the “Prolusioni” series of the Eum: “Vàclav Havel. Words for change” and “Simone Veil. For a new European humanism”. In collaboration with the coordination of the Italian University presses, with the Eum the publishing house of the University of Macerata, and a stand of the Department of Humanistic Studies, tomorrow at 11.30 the director of the Department of Humanistic Studies Roberto Mancini, the representative of the Georgetown University at Rome and researcher from the Bruno Kessler Foundation of Trento, Debora Tonelli, and the writer and journalist Filomeno Lopes, will discuss “Imagining beyond, life towards real life”. At 3.30 pm at the stand of the Marche Region the “Archaeological map of the province of Macerata” will be presented with Chiara Capponi, Stefano Finocchi and Roberto Perna, together with the regional councilor for culture Chiara Biondi and the president of the Eum Simona Antolini. The publication illustrates the archaeological sites of Macerata, which have been cataloged and georeferenced, and are now accessible in digital and paper format to facilitate research, protection and valorisation of the heritage. Last meeting at 6.15pm when the rector John McCourt, Benedetta Babisan, scientific director of “Prolusioni”, and the translator Gaia Seminara will discuss with Ezio Mauro about being dissidents today, from Havel to Alexander Navalny and Narges Mohammadi.
