Corano, Borgonovo Val Tidone) the interesting meeting dedicated to Culture and values ​​of hospitality in catering. Special guest Davide Rampello, university professor, cultural and management consultant for national and international institutions, artistic director and curator. On this occasion, the role of the restaurant as a strategic place for a community that becomes an actor of hospitality, interprets the food and wine heritage and supports the local economy by promoting its knowledge will be explored in depth.

The catering sector constitutes a fundamental component of the agri-food chain and of the Italian tourism system, with a role that is not limited to the economic dimension, but involves a broader cultural, material and social sphere.

The intent is therefore to start again from a great value: culture. “The word culture has a root linked to cultivating, not only the land, not only the products, but also knowledge and know-how, life, others. It is not an exercise in the arts, it is much more. Culture, cultivate, live, are all etymologically linked words: we are cultivators of life”, writes Davide Rampello, who will dialogue with Giorgio Lambri, journalist and editor of the “Pansa e Tasca” column in the newspaper La Libertà. He will introduce the evening Elisabetta Virtuani, president of the Wine and Flavor Route of the Piacentini Hills. The conclusions will be edited by Andrea Sinigagliageneral director of ALMA the International School of Italian Cuisine.

University professor, cultural and management consultant for national and international institutions, artistic director and curator, he began his career at Rai in the 70s as a historical researcher, author and then director of cultural programs and television director. Between 1992 and 1994 he was artistic director of the Venice Carnival and during the 1990s he acted as curator of important exhibitions in various exhibition venues, such as the Biennale and the Galleria dell’Accademia in Venice or the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. President of the Triennale di Milano from 2003 to 2012, an almost ten-year season during which the image and activity of the Milanese institution on an international level was relaunched and renewed. He curated the Italian pavilions at numerous Expos.

The review “The taste of books” is promoted by the GAL of the Duchy to enhance the Wine and Flavor Routes of Emilia and talk about issues related to food and wine, but also highly topical issues. With this format, GAL del Ducato and the Associations Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori dei Colli Piacentini, Strada del Prosciutto e dei Vini dei Colli di Parma, Strada del Fungo Porcino, promote and organize 7 public meetings in the months of March, April and May .
