PESCARA. Theatre, guest among others Ascanio Celestini, and books, including fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, to remember the historical Resistance. The third edition of Teatri R-Esistenti begins tomorrow in Pescara, an event promoted by Anpi – the “Ettore Troilo” Committee of Pescara and the Brigata Maiella Foundation on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Abruzzo from Nazi-fascism. The event offers theatrical performances and conversations with novelists and essayists. Free admission, except Celestini’s show (5 euros). Tomorrow, 5.15 pm, Imago Museum: presentation of the book “Joyce Lussu: Una donna e la cielo” (CR Edizioni) by Giorgia Gabbolini, on the extraordinary figure of anti-fascist, exile, forger, partisan, writer, poet, translator, traveler, feminist . Thursday 9th, 9pm, Sant’Andrea cinema theatre: theater with “Partigiano Piuma” by and with Francesca Camilla D’Amico, author of a neorealist fairy tale set among woods, camps and paths to tell the story of the Resistance through the eyes of a boy. Saturday 11th, 5.15pm, Imago: the book “La strada di Santina” (Menabò) by Nicola Di Tullio, a novel about a romantic story in wartime. Tuesday 14, 5.15 pm, Imago: “Allied imprisonment in Italy 1940-1943” (Viella) by Isabella Insolvibile, research on the approximately 70 thousand soldiers captured on the African fronts and detained in camps present in almost all Italian regions. Wednesday 15th, 5.15pm, Imago: the graphic novel “Partigiano” (Carabba) by Ernesto Carbonetti, inspired by the figure of Americo Di Memmo Di Bucchianico, commander of the Lanciano partisan brigade “Trentino La Barba”. Thurs the armistice. Saturday 18th, 5.15pm, Imago: the book “Resistance Trial. The legacy of the partisan war in the Republic 1945-2022” (Einaudi) by Michela Ponzani, on the legacy of the Resistance in the Republic. Thursday 6 June, 9pm, Circus cinema theatre: “Radio Clandestina. Rome, the Fosse Ardeatine, the memory” by and with Ascanio Celestini, a civil theater of narration on one of the most atrocious episodes of the Nazi occupation. (afu)
