The president of Confesercenti Cosenza dies during the presentation of a book

ROVITO The provincial president of Confesercenti Cosenza, Dino De Santo, died last night in Rovito, while he was taking part in the presentation of a book. “News that astonishes and arouses profound sadness.” Thus Mayor Franz Caruso commented on the news. «What I learned is truly a bolt from the blue – said Franz Caruso in expressing his deepest condolences for the passing of Dino De Santo, a tourist entrepreneur recognized and appreciated throughout the city and in the urban area. And it is even more so if you consider that only this morning we had met by chance on Viale Mancini where I had gone for a walk in the city. Seeing me, Dino also took a photo of me with his cell phone which he sent to me immediately afterwards. It’s all very sad” – added Franz Caruso. «A deep friendship bound me to Dino – the Mayor continued – as well as to his wife Antonella Magnelli, Deputy Mayor and councilor for culture of the Municipality of Rovito. At this painful moment, my heartfelt thoughts and closeness and that of the entire municipal administration go to her and Dino De Santo’s two sons, Armando and Pierpaolo.” Franz Caruso also recalled the administrative and political past of Dino De Santo. «He was municipal councilor of Palazzo dei Bruzi, in the ranks of the DC, for three councils, from 1975 to 1980, from 1980 to 1985 and from 1098 to 1990 and was appointed councillor, during the first two councils led by Mayor Franco Santo, from July from 1986 to September 1987″.
