Don Cosimo Schena’s book published

After having achieved a certain popularity on social networks thanks to his poems and battles in defense of animals, Don Cosimo Schena began to receive thousands of messages from all over Italy, a wave of requests for help, advice, or mere outbursts of people who saw in him someone capable of listening and understanding, without judging.

And Don Cosimo responded to everyone, without exception, offering a simple and effective way to rediscover serenity: interpreting life, both happy and tragic events, in the light of the Bible, to draw the good from it and rediscover the beauty of existence . It is from those messages, some collected in these pages, that the book you have in your hands was born: not a self-help manual, but a “pocket mass” to carry with you and in which to find comfort and understanding, in which the author has included a series of practical evangelical advice to overcome difficulties and begin to appreciate one’s present again, with its challenges but also with the happy moments that we often take for granted. Interacting with users, Don Cosimo realized with amazement how many people are looking for God, especially those furthest from the Church: this book, like social media, is a bridge for him, an attempt to reach out who is in difficulty and tell them that they are not alone, that for everyone faith can open the doors to a place where they can feel at home.

Cosimo Schena was born in Brindisi in 1979, he is a priest of the diocese of Brindisi Ostuni. Graduated in Philosophy and in Clinical and Dynamic Psychology, he obtained a PhD in Philosophy at the Pontifical Lateran University, where he explored the theme of totalitarianism and mysticism in Simone Weil, and is currently specializing in Brief Strategic Psychotherapy, an innovative approach and effective for the treatment of different forms of psychopathology. He has published several books of poetry and philosophical essays. He is the most followed priest on social networks in Italy, where he shares with his followers reflections, columns, invitations to love, peace and care for all creation. Defined as “the poet of God’s love”, he is a commentator on many television and radio programmes.
