On Tuesday 23 April at 10 am, at the “Costantino Barbella” Art Museum, Unitre Chieti offers all citizens a meeting to present Marco Strona’s latest book, entitled “Ars Medica”, on the themes addressed by research posturological rehabilitation.

The University of the Three Ages of the city of Chieti, among the numerous dissemination and in-depth initiatives proposed since its establishment in 1986, has always “paid particular attention to scientific and literary topics which can represent an opportunity for awareness and growth for its members and for the entire city. This is why the work of Marco Strona is considered of particular interest. Born in Chieti in 1987, he works between Chieti, Francavilla and Pescara where he carries out his professional activity as a spinal posturologist after a long and in-depth training. between the Gabriele D’Annunzio University in Chieti and Tor Vergata in Rome, in “Clinical Posturology and Osteopathy”.

Always in love and passionate about the human body, movement and medicine, he generates and coins his own personal method of “postural spinal re-education” called postural medicine. Expert in clinical examination, he supports the fundamental role of posturological clinics, morpho-functional analysis and meticulous investigation in the research of the vertebral dysfunctions that afflict us.

With this third publication the author continues the series he created “Lectura and posture” which began with the volume entitled “On the spine on back pain”: postural discourse on the most common pathologies” with which he won the 2022 Non-fiction Edition award City of Florence.

His second essay entitled “Arthritis and osteoporosis” has the aim of increasing knowledge and information relating to osteo-articular pathologies in the social sphere, such as arthrosis and osteoporosis, endemic diseases of the bone tissue, with an explicit intent preventive.

In fact, the essential role of prevention in all osteoarticular pathologies is too often underestimated, often relying on superficial knowledge, the stories of relatives and friends, and ‘hearsay’. An opportunity, therefore, not to be missed to address a topic that involves us all, to overcome clichés on the subject and, above all, to gather stimuli and practices useful for more correct and functional prevention and rehabilitation, to be included in our lives daily”.
