The book The Darkness Outside Us it’s trying to go from page to screen. Pageboy Productions, the company run by Oscar-nominated actor Elliot Page, Matt Jordan Smith and Tuck Dowrey, has acquired the rights to the 2021 science fiction novel.
The Darkness Outside Us by author Eliot Schrefer is a love story about two young people from enemy countries placed aboard a spaceship on a rescue mission. Along the way they will learn that they must work together and that love may be the key to survival.

The novel also has a continuation, The Brightness Between Usdue out in October in the US.
