Between imagination and sustainability, to discover how to save the planet by traveling through the pages of books: on Saturday at 11am the Casa Niccolini library hosts a morning for children aged 6 to 11 entitled ‘A planet to read and save’edited by Leoscienza, organized on the occasion of World Earth and Book Days, which are celebrated on 22 and 23 April respectively.

Books, science, theatre, interactive activities and scientific experiments to introduce young people to a love for the environment and books. And the animated readings will be the tool not only to learn about the wonders and difficulties of our planet Earth, but first and foremost to discover how the pages of a book can be the place where we can find answers to our questions.

Books will thus confirm themselves, in the eyes of boys and girls, as special sources of emotions (fun, wonder, sadness, enthusiasm and many others) but also sources of solutions to the challenges of the presentstimuli for action, treasure chests of values ​​and good practices.

We will thus understand the incredible variety of the plant world and its importance for life on planet Earth, from food to the oxygen we breathe. And what do we do for plants? From a flower on the balcony to the forests of the planet, passing through the city park: every daily gesture can make a difference.

The initiative is free, places are limited and registration is mandatory by completing an online form available on the Municipal Libraries website in the Casa Niccolini section.
