Ticket to Ride, the book arrives: from radio format to “paper radio” – Virtù Quotidiane

L’AQUILA – Traveling while standing still through a cultural journey entitled ‘Ticket to Ride – Paper Radio’ which is intended as an invitation to a journey through words, songs and emotions. The book (published by Infomedia Group), which will be presented on Thursday 18 April at 6.30pm at Spazio Rimediato, represents an experiment in literary and radio entertainment.

Written by Antonella Finucci, Fabio IulianoAnd Valeria Valeri, the text transports the reader into a particular sound and narrative universe. It was born from the experience of a radio program and evolved into a real paper radio. The story of “Ticket to Ride” started as a game, an idea that took shape thanks to its authors’ passion for music and literature. With the support of Giovacchino D’Annibale of Radio L’Aquila 1 and of Giuseppe Tomei of Spazio Rimediato, the project developed from a radio broadcast to a theater show and then to a book, “a paper radio”.

Through 24 routes – each developed in an episode of Radio L’Aquila 1 – the reader is invited to explore worlds and emotions, guided by the suggestions proposed by the authors. Each page is a piece of a narrative puzzle, where words blend with songs and music, creating a multisensory reading experience. But ‘Ticket to Ride – Paper Radio’ is not just a book to read, it is an all-round experience which also involved some schools in the area. With the possibility of listening to the songs mentioned, through the QR Code, the reader is completely immersed in the atmosphere of the journey proposed by the pages.

This is the narrative pact with readers, a story to shape and experience as they wish. Start wherever you like, explore each itinerary at your leisure. Each page is an invitation to a new journey, a new discovery.” The preface is written by the journalist Giustino Parisse.
