The words of the architect Memo Colucci

It is necessary to rethink the concept of design, because linking our planning to mass industry has caused industrial distortions – has explained Memo Colucciwho will hold a conference entitled The Third Skin on the environmental aspects of the place we live – “THEThe course is called ‘Design Mi’ because when we talk about design we talk about Milan, but also myself, putting the person back at the center of the discussion – he continued – where the industrial product is at the center with the people, for the common well-being. Not only products therefore, but also technology of hope, which no longer distances human beings from the rest of the living world, but brings them closer“.

Again according to the architect, creator of the project Gigafactory De Nora, the most important factory internationally for the production of green hydrogen, as part of the regeneration of an ancient industrial site in Cernusco: “when we create a product, we create a need, and a social distance between those who have it and those who do not have it, we must create an inclusive, exclusive environment that takes into account the environmental compatibility, the material, the democratization of the product“.

Course structures

It will be divided into 460 hours of lessons, divided into 13 training units, with an educational path divided into three segments: the first of a more theoretical nature aimed at providing the student with an introduction to the discipline considered in its fundamental aspects, with a focus on the expressions artistic, the influences and topical moments that have characterized Interior Design; the second, more design methodological, the third of a practical nature, aimed at transferring to students not only the technical skills to carry out an interior design, but also the graphic skills to represent and convey the complexity and richness of the expressive values of the same .

30% of the course hours will be dedicated to the final synthesis workshop, during which students will be invited to independently create a final Interior Styling project starting from the conception of the concept to the design and documentation of the work carried out.
