Certa Stampa – SHOTS BY THE ABRUZZE ARTIST MAURIZIO FORCELLA AT THE MIA PHOTO FAIR

Prestigious and international showcase for the Abruzzo photographer and director, born and living in Atri, Maurizio Forcella. On the occasion of the XIII edition of ‘Mia Photo Fair‘, the first and most important art fair dedicated to photography in Italy, which took place atAllianz MiCoMilan Congresses from 11 to 14 April 2024, he had the opportunity to exhibit shots of his photographic project “Old women dreaming” recently awarded at Tokyo International Photo Award 2023 and the prestigious Art Award 2023. Fork it was in fact chosen by ‘TallulahStudio Art’for the project ‘Becauseyou are a woman”, edited by Patrizia Madau, developed through the visual juxtaposition of four photography artists. Beyond Forkthey also exhibited Dina Goldstein, KeilaGuilarte And Donatella Izzo. Each of them expressed female identity and its change with different styles.

The photographic works of Fork, for many experts consider the real novelty of Mia Photo Fair 2024, have been defined as works “stratified”. The artist, through the use of AI-TTI (Artificial Text-To-Image Intelligence), manages to develop photographic content that subverts the aesthetics of appearance, deconstructing the idea of ​​a contemporary aesthetic, where everything must appear perfectly, smooth and without cracks. Thanks toa precise post-production work, the results are those of a pictorial photograph.

TO this edition ofMia Photo Fair 2024 exhibited some of the most important artists on the international photography scene such as Maurizio Galimberti, Gianni Berengo Gardini, Paolo Ventura and many others.

It was a wonderful opportunity and an honor to be part of it. Many visitors attended, appreciating the works on display also for the dialogue between them. I have been working on this project for more than a year and the fact that I have obtained various international awards motivates me to continue on this path to tell, with images, this artistic vision of mine”.
