Descriptive text here

The artist passed away prematurely, in tragic circumstances Christopher Russo46 years old, originally from Torre del Greco in the province of Naples who had lived for over 6 years in the Castelli Romani, in Marino to be precise.

The painter, well known in the national artistic panorama, came from the school of Maestro Vito Esposito from whom he drew his love for traditional landscape artists, developing a personal style and using a warm and balanced palette.

A journalist and enthusiast of popular culture, during his artistic career he had combined theatrical training with internationalist academic training, later arriving at painting during his long travels.

In February last year he chose our magazine to launch his exclusively Video-Interview by director Daniele Scotti. In the video he opened the doors of his studio, welcoming all those who wanted to get to know him more closely and admire his works in progress. It was important for Castelli Notizie which today fondly preserves an important memory of an artist of great value, which allowed us to enter his world and try to reveal it by satisfying his desire.

Since then we had followed him in the many exhibitions and artistic events in which he had participated, informing us promptly such as, for example, a traveling Pop Nativity scene, which he cared a lot about, presented at the Notte Bianca of Santa Maria delle Mole, in Castellamare di Stabia, in Torre del Greco, at the Barbato art gallery in Scafati, but also in Rome in Trastevere at the La Porta Gallery.
But Cristoforo Russo, as a journalist and lieutenant colonel of the Air Force, was also press officer for NATO in Italy and in this capacity he had involved our newspaper by inviting us to a high-tech modeling and simulation forum in which his colleague Giulia Chirichella participated who reported this in a detailed report article in October 2023.

Personally we spoke on the occasion of the launch of his events in which he participated and in which, unfortunately, I never had the pleasure of attending due to family problems. But I remember with extreme pleasure her often declared willingness to entrust me with the journalistic coordination of one of her events due to the esteem she showed for my way of working. Thank you Cristoforo truly, esteem widely reciprocated. It’s a shame we didn’t have time to make this beautiful connection.

The entire editorial staff of Castelli Notizie expresses their most sincere condolences to his loved ones.
