It is not surprising that for the 2024 edition, the platform for designers, companies and institutions Alcove has chosen this iconic architectural gem, combining it with Villa Bagatti Valsecchias its headquarters.

Alcove 2024

The seventh edition of Alcova is open to the public until April 21st in the unprecedented context of two iconic villas in the metropolitan area of Milan, Villa Bagatti Valsecchi and, indeed, Villa Borsani. An unmissable destination for the Milanese design week, Alcova will propose projects by designers, galleries, companies and schools in dialogue with wonderful architecture to recreate a magic that has been repeated for years now.

The lines of research are renewed, intertwining: technological and sustainable materials and production processes, contemporary craftsmanship, experimental aesthetics, sociological, political and global themes. Among the over 70 exhibitors, the event will see the return of designers who have accompanied the project since its inception and will propose absolute innovations: the panorama ranges from prominent designers and collaborations with large international brands to emerging companies up to young talents from international schools.

Installations and site-specific interventions

The site-specific approach will be enhanced by the strongly characterized contexts of the two villas. At Villa Borsani the ad hoc interventions and installations will concern the entrance staircase, one of the villa’s bathrooms and the wet bar. Protagonists, in order, Atelier de Troupe, Sema Topaloglu And Fabian Freytag.
