FALCONARA – The walls of the Falconara cemetery are colored with flowers, butterflies, branches and berries, thanks to the sketches prepared by the Poliarte artists, which will be created by the Falconara writer Run, born Giacomo Bufarini. This is what is foreseen by the urban art project promoted by the Pro Loco Pionieri of Rocca Mare, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Pro Loco Falconamare. The project has obtained an important contribution from the Marche Region and will involve all citizens. In fact, a survey will be organized to choose between two subjects: ‘The seasons’ and ‘The flow’. The sketches, accompanied by renderings showing the final result of both themes on the cemetery walls, will be exhibited between April and May at the Pergoli Center in Piazza Mazzini, where the Pro Loco Pionieri will keep a register to take note of citizens’ preferences.

The survey will be presented by the Pro Loco with a public initiative. «The Municipality immediately appreciated the project proposed by the Pioneers of Rocca Mare with the support of Pro Falconamare – is the comment of the mayor Stefania Signorini – first of all for the professionalism put in place. In fact, the students of Poliarte, an academy of fine arts in Ancona which has signed important projects, were involved. The creation of the murals was entrusted to the street artist Giacomo Bufarini, aka Run, who I have always appreciated very much and who in Falconara has already created the large mural on the private building which stands between via Bixio, via Trieste and via Leopardi, a a work that characterizes the entire southern area of the centre.” Run was also called to create large murals at the entrances to the Risorgimento gallery in Ancona.

The idea of the survey was also appreciated by the municipal administration: today, Friday 5 April, the council approved the citizen consultation project and made available, as already seen, the Pergoli Center in Piazza Mazzini . Artists, associations and citizens are thus involved in a project which aims to improve the city, giving colors and suggestions to a place devoted to spirituality. The realization itself could be transformed into an event, because citizens will be able to witness Run’s work on the days in which he gets to work.
