The sixth edition of CarlottaxARCHITECTUREil international award established in memory of the architect Carlotta Reitanoformer President of the Foundation from 2009 to 2013, defined “the irreverent lioness of Etna architects”.
The recognition aims to valorise works, created in Italy or abroad, which have been able to address the contemporary challenges with approach ethical, innovative e responsiblecontributing to transformation and to safeguard of the territoryfrom the culture and of thearchitectural innovation.
The four categories allowed are:
- works of architecture
- works of restoration or recovery
- works of interior and/or design
- projects of young architects under 35
The winners, selected by the jury chaired by Paolo Colonna (RPBW), will be announced on March 17, 2026 at the Roman Aquarium, headquarters of the Order of PPC Architects of Rome, on the occasion of the awards ceremonyaccompanied by show with all the participating works.
The Award is promoted by the Order of PPC Architects of the Province of Catania, by the Foundation of the Order of PPC Architects of the Province of Catania, by the CNAPPC, by the Municipality of Catania Department of Culture in partnership with AIL Catania (Italian Association Against Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma).
Who can participate
They are eligible for the prize works designed and created in Italy or abroad by individual or associated architects of any nationality, registered in the professional register or equivalent associations.
Each candidate (individual or associated) can participate with only one work per category, while a single work can be nominated in multiple categories.
The categoria Under 35 is reserved for professionals registered with an Italian Order of Architects (section A) who have not turned 35 years old on the date of March 17, 2025 and which present projects falling into one of the three established categories.
How to participate
The material for participation in the prize must be delivered online on the platform, by February 16, 2026ore 12.
Requested documents
Interested parties must complete the online form, attaching the following materials:
- Summary project report (max 500 characters, pdf 1 MB), with indication of the place and date of completion of the work
- 1 explanatory table in PDFprepared according to model B, which will be used to set up the exhibition
- Up to 10 images in high resolution (max 5 MB each), including plans, elevations, sections, sketches and models (it is necessary to deliver minimum 3 real photographs of the work; for participants in the category Young Architect Under 35 real photos of the work must be replaced by render)
- Photo credits PDF format max 1 MB
- Information on the client e liberating for the use of images

The jury will award the following prizes:
- “CarlottaxARCHITETTURA” Award: 3,000 euros→ to the best work selected among the three categories
- CarlottaxARCHITETTURA GA Award: 1,000 euros → to the best project in the Young Architects Under 35 Projects category
- 2 Honorable Mentions: 500 euros → to the best works in each of the other two categories
- City of Catania Award: CarlottaxARCHITETTURA plaque → to the best work created by an architect from the province of Catania
- “City of Rome” Award: CarlottaxARCHITETTURA plaque → to the best work created by an architect from the province of Rome.
It is possible to renounce the cash prize and donate it to the association “Carlottax”.
All participants will receive an acknowledgment of participation in the event.
