Here are the supermarkets that guarantee the service and with what time slots for the last day of the year, December 31st, and the first of 2026
To end 2025 and start the new year with best wishes, friends and relatives organize the big dinner in their homes and it is possible that it is necessary to dolast minute purchases. Some supermarkets will remain open on December 31st, while others will keep their stores closed to honor the holidays. Still others will adapt their opening hours also taking into account the cities or areas in which the various shops are located. Most of the closures are scheduled for January 1st. Carrefour, Conad e Coop
Carrefour guarantees the service as regards December 31st, but the particularity of the chain is the local exceptionality: some points of sale, which may be in large cities or strategically located situations for many consumers, could operate continuously all day, while others with a crowded menu could operate half a day or reduced hours. The January 1st holiday, however, will be honored and will be closed (more details at this link). The same goes for Conad: openings are not uniform and depend on the local management of the supermarket. In numerous regions, from the Center to the South to the Islands, there will mainly be reduced hours, especially in the first part of the day. Pam, MD, Iper e Lidl
Pam should guarantee the service only for half a day on December 31st, closing most of the shops in the early afternoon, with some exceptions. Closing, however, for the first day of the new year. Per Lidl December 31st is a standard opening day and not a weekday, so the service is guaranteed full time.
