Israel’s Hamas “day after” plan will begin to be implemented in northern Gaza in the coming days. National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi said this. The army’s plan, Hanegbi explained, has been “refined” in recent weeks and its “practical expression” will soon be seen. “We must not wait for Hamas to disappear, because – he underlined – it is a long process.

Of at least 13 people killed in an Israeli army attack in al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City, 10 were relatives of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, including his sister. This was stated by Gaza’s civil defense agency, as reported by Haaretz. Hamas claims that Zaher played no role in organizing the Palestinian resistance movement.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa and the Arab broadcaster Al Jazeera say that at least 16 people died in Israeli shelling last night in the Gaza Strip. Eleven of these were killed in raids that targeted two schools used as shelters and managed by the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), in the Beach camp and in the Daraj area of Gaza. Israeli raids – in agreement with military intelligence and the Shin Bet – have “hit two structures used by Hamas terrorists in the Shati refugee camp and in Daraj Tuffah”, in the northern part of the Palestinian enclave. The military spokesperson made this known according to which “the terrorists were operating in school complexes used by Hamas as a shield for its terrorist activities”.
According to the same source, “the operatives were involved in the preparation of numerous attacks against Israel and some of them had taken part in the hostage-taking and October 7 massacre.” In the raid, “measures were taken to mitigate harm to civilians” not involved. “Hamas – concluded the spokesperson – continually violates international law by exploiting civilian structures and using the civilian population as human shields”.
One of the sisters of the Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, was reportedly killed tonight in the air attack on the Shati (Beach) refugee camp. This was reported by Palestinian and Israeli media.
