A two-year-old boy was found dead between the legs of his father (60 years old), who was also found lifeless. The macabre discovery occurred inside an apartment after the alarm was raised by some neighbors who had called the police due to a strange smell they smelled coming from the house. When the officers arrived in front of the house, they kicked down the door and, before their eyes, a horror movie scene appeared.
What happened

The small Bronson Battersby he was found by the officers curled up on his father’s legs. He appeared to be sleeping but, when the men approached, they saw that he was actually not breathing. Same fate for Kenneth Battersby, whose body was found behind the living room door. The 60-year-old died due to a heart attack and the child, however, died a few days later due to dehydration.
Bronson had been living with his father since 2022, when the man separated from his partner Sarah Piesse, 43 years old, who still lives together with his other two children. The 60-year-old was unemployed and had a heart condition. Due to this condition the man was used to visits from social workers, who knocked on his door on January 2nd. But no one responded and the same case was repeated on January 4th. However, it wasn’t the social workers who raised the alarm, but rather the neighbors, who wanted to alert the emergency services because Kenneth hadn’t left the house for days.
Mother’s pain
Bronson’s mother last saw her son a few days before Christmas, when she had an argument with her ex. When Sarah learned that Kenneth and her two-year-old had died, she was broken with grief: «If social services had done their job, Bronson would still be alive. My baby died of hunger and thirst, it’s excruciating pain. I can’t get his sweet smile and his joy out of my head.”
Family members remember Bronson as a child who was full of life and who enjoyed playing a small drum set. «We feel a lot of anger – concluded the little boy’s relatives – Bronson did not deserve such an end. We hope that justice is done for him.”
