The terrible scene during a religious service that was live streamed in a church in Pennsylvania, USA. After the young man’s arrest, police went to the 26-year-old’s home and found another man shot dead.
A pastor reciting his sermon in front of the faithful and then suddenly a man who he appears in front of the altar and points a gun at him trying to shoot him but the weapon jams and others intervene to stop him. It’s the terrible scene captured live on video during a religious service which was broadcast in live streaming in a church in Pennsylvania, USA, the Jesus Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, a suburb of Pittsburgh.
The terrible sequence took place in the middle of the Sunday sermon of the Reverend Glenn Germany which was attended by several people. In the live video, then released on social media, the pastor is seen instinctively diving behind his lectern at the sight of the armed man after the weapon jams. The attacker doesn’t seem to give up and climbs over to go towards the other one but a believer reaches him from behind, running and throwing him to the ground. With the help of the same shepherd the man is then disarmed.
The pastor and a believer held the young man until the police arrived. “The weapon failed to fire,” Pennsylvania State Police, who identified the gunman as Bernard Polite, 26, said in a news release. After the young man’s arrest, the police went to his house and found another man shot dead. This is a 51-year-old relative of the boy.

Pastor Germany told police that after disarming him, he spoke to the 26-year-old who apologized. According to him, Polite seems to suffer from mental problems. In fact, the 26-year-old allegedly told him that he had heard voices. “The voices were in his head saying ‘go shoot the pastor,'” Germany explained
“He stood up and smiled at me and only when he got close to the altar did I see him pull out a gun and all I could do was just duck and run,” the pastor told local media, saying: “He pulled the trigger. I heard him shoot but God blocked the gun so that the bullet would not come out,” he concluded.
