The porn star Stormy Daniels was the most awaited witness in Donald Trump’s trial and she did not disappoint expectations, telling in the courtroom for over two hours the spicy details of the night of sex that the tycoon continues to deny and clearly embarrassing the former president running for the White House again.
He, sitting a few meters away, remained almost always impassive, only giving her a few glances at the beginning and shaking his head when he spoke about Melania. She, accustomed to treading various types of stage, was instead perfectly at her ease and a river in flood, so much so that her accuser repeatedly asked her to speak more slowly. At the center of the trial are the 130 thousand dollars paid to the porn star so that he would not reveal the meeting which would have damaged Trump’s candidacy on the eve of the 2016 elections. Money paid personally by Michael Cohen, The Donald’s all-round lawyer, and reimbursed by the tycoon as fictitious legal expenses in violation of accounting and electoral laws.
Stephanie Clifford, aka Stormy Daniels, began her deposition by describing her career, from exotic dancing with which in two evenings she could “earn more than I would have earned shoveling manure eight hours a day” to nightclubs, to her work as a model and photo model up to to the porn industry. She then moved on to the first “very brief” meeting with “Mr Trump”, as she called him throughout the hearing. In July 2006 you were in a golf tournament for VIPs in Lake Tahoe, between California and Nevada. The jurors were shown the famous photo from that day which immortalizes Stormy and Trump dressed in a yellow golf shirt and a red cap. The two met for dinner at the hotel, where Trump initially showed up wearing satin pajamas.
“Does Mr. Hefner (the founder of Playboy, ed.) know that you stole his pajamas?”, he mocked him, inviting him to change. Then he showed her a magazine in which she appeared on the cover: “Are you always so rude? Are you always so arrogant and pompous? You don’t even know how to have a conversation,” she told him, spanking him with the magazine “right on the butt.” At dinner she asked him about his wife Melania – who was expecting a child – telling him that she was very beautiful. “We don’t sleep in the same room,” she heard herself reply. Then he offered her the possibility of participating in the popular show she was hosting at the time, The Celebrity Apprentice, and faced with her fears of losing on the first episode and damaging her career, she offered to let her have the questions in advance. “You remind me of my daughter (Ivanka, ed.) because she is intelligent, blonde and beautiful and people underestimate her,” she told her. The leap from dinner to the bedroom was quick.

Trump’s lawyers tried to demolish Stormy’s credibility, arguing that she was hardly a selfless woman. But her confirmations strengthen the accusatory castle. And that night of sex has now entered the collective imagination, not just the American one.
Trump’s Florida trial postponed indefinitely
Judge Aileen Cannon has “indefinitely” postponed Donald Trump’s trial over his handling of classified documents scheduled for this month in Florida.
The trial against the tycoon was supposed to start on May 20 in Miami but the judge ruled that there were “too many motions” to examine before starting and did not set another date.
