“I felt pain but he told me it was normal, but as he pushed he punctured my jaw bone and the screw got stuck in the skull in the area where the cerebrospinal fluid is found” is how 40-year-old Ramazan Yılmaz tells the storyincredible medical error of which he was a victim in Türkiye after undergoing a dental surgery in a doctor’s office in Bursa. “Only when I screamed in pain did he understand the severity and took me to hospital” said the man who has now recovered but has started a lawsuit against the dentist.

He was immediately transported to hospital where even the doctors couldn’t believe their eyes at the scene. The man was immediately taken to the operating room where the foreign object was successfully removed after a very delicate operation that lasted hours.
After a long convalescence, the 40-year-old recovered but now had to undertake a legal battle against the dentist who refuses to compensate him. “He told me that my bone structure was thin and that my teeth were loose and that there would be an implant procedure. The dentist told me that he had been a doctor for 24 years and that he was an expert in the field, so I trusted him,” the 40-year-old told local media.
“During the surgery, he told his secretary that the device he used in the procedure was broken. He started doing the procedure with his hand, while trying to insert the screw, I told him it was the bone but he replied that it was normal” reconstructed the patient who has now filed a complaint. The dentist instead talks about medical complications during the operation and is ready to defend himself in court.
