Theft of driving licenses, the sensational case of hackers
As happened, moreover, sensationally, for 5 million driving licenses, through one of the most incredible piracy attacks ever. Of the unscrupulous hackers they are furious about the license. And after having stolen them, they ask for thousands of euros as a ‘tax’ to return them: like a real ‘return horse’. The story, unfortunately very true, comes from Argentina, where hackers struck 5.7 million people to which they have stolen car license.
The Government of the South American country confirmed everything: speaking of a sensational case of cyber theft from the database that stores driving license data, including those of authorities such as the Minister of Security and other institutional figures.
Car licenses, millions of thefts, there’s an alarm
Once they steal them, shut down 3 thousand dollars to return them: a fraud, a full-blown ray on the part of these computer pirates who in Argentina they created panic. Even the highest state officials seem to have suffered theft. As mentioned, apparently, for each stolen license a flat-rate ransom of 3 thousand dollars is requested, and considering that some were stolen 5.7 million, we are talking about a monstrous figure.
According to some, the perpetrator of the theft could be the same one who recently stole 116 thousand photos from the databases of the National Register of Persons. This is an alarm, which although it concerns Argentina for the moment, is a signal of attention for the whole world: in such a synchronized and connected society, in fact, the cyber theft they are becoming more and more daily, and dangerous.
