Mallorca, 4 Italian tourists arrested for gang rape in Spain

Four Italian tourists were arrested for gang violence against a young woman in Playa de Palma, Palma de Mallorca. We learn this from police sources. The events date back to dawn last Sunday, between 2 and 6 in the morning, according to the victim’s account to the police made known today.

The girl, of Brazilian origins, would have met one of the young tourists and would have agreed to follow him to his apartment on Playa de Palma on the Balearic island. There she would have found three other Italians who would have raped her as a group.

Before fleeing, the victim of the alleged gang rape managed to take the passport of one of the attackers and, after the violence she suffered, reported the incident to a police station in Palma de Mallorca.

All those arrested (between 24 and 27 years old) were brought before the judicial authorities today for questioning, the police reported. The young Brazilian, according to the victim’s story, had met the Italian tourist around 2 in the morning in front of a renowned nightclub in Passeig Maritim in Palma de Mallorca, and had asked the young man for a cigarette. Not having any with him, the young man would have gotten him one of her own.

Around 5 in the morning, the two met again in front of the nightclub, deciding to go to his apartment in Playa de Palma in a taxi. While three other friends of the Italian tourist apparently left in another taxi. Once in the apartment, the young Brazilian would have found herself in front of the four of her, who would have raped her in a group.
