Arrested 4 tourists Italians a Palma de Mallorca on charges of sexual violence against a young girl. The events date back to dawn on Sunday 7 April, between 2 and 6 in the morning, according to the victim’s account to the authorities, which was only made known today. The news is learned from police sources. The girl, of Brazilian origins, met one of the young tourists that same evening and agreed to follow him to her apartment on Playa de Palma on the Balearic island. There she would have found three other Italians who would have raped her as a group.

The dynamics

The young Brazilian said she met the young Italian tourist around 2 in the morning in front of a renowned nightclub in Passeig Maritim in Palma de Mallorca. She would ask the young man for a cigarette, and she would get him one of her own. Around 5 in the morning, the two met again in front of the nightclub and decided to head to the boy’s apartment in Playa de Palma in a taxi. The other three friends of the Italian tourist, however, apparently left in another taxi. Once in the apartment, the young Brazilian would have found herself in front of the four of her, who would have raped her in a group.

The arrests

Before fleeing, the victim of the alleged gang rape managed to take the passport of one of the attackers and, after the violence she suffered, reported the incident to a police station in Palma de Mallorca. All those arrested (between 24 and 27 years old) were brought before the judicial authorities today for questioning. According to legal sources cited by Iberian media, including Ultima Hora, before the magistrate the four arrested only answered questions from their lawyer, denying gang violence, as two of those arrested had already done before the police.
