These are people, angels with whom I served in Ukraine, in Gaza, in Turkey, in Morocco, in the Bahamas and in Indonesia. I am not faceless, I am not nameless. The Israeli government must stop these indiscriminate killings. It must stop restricting humanitarian aid, killing civilians and aid workers, and using food as a weapon.” So does the chef José Andrésfounder of the charity World Central Kitchen, commented on the death of seven workers (including three foreigners) in Gaza helping the population. A week ago a video was published on the organization’s Instagram page in which the 44-year-old Australian Lalzawmi Frankcomknown as Zomi, one of the victims of the attack, showed the meals prepared in the kitchen set up in Deir al-Balah, in the central area of the Strip.
