From Wednesday 7 January at 9.25pm, “Affari d’Occasion”, a Giuma production for Warner Bros Discovery with the support of the Trentino Film Commission, will be broadcast for the first time on DMAX (channel 52).
The series is set in the “Bargain Market” of Susegana, the second-hand paradise where objects of all kinds find new life: on the outskirts of Treviso every day Thomas and his team juggle mountains of objects and dozens of customers ready to sell or buy. From books and appliances to furniture, designer accessories and collectibles, each item hides a story and a possible deal.

DMAX has always told about worlds in which bargaining, the value of objects and human relationships are at center stage. “Occasion Business” brings this story to Italy through an original project, rooted in the territory, which follows the daily life of a family-run business that has become a point of reference for the community over the years. Between shelves full of objects and negotiations that take shape, the shop becomes the beating heart of a microcosm made up of relationships and new opportunities, in which every deal is the result of a subtle balance between intuition and experience.
The mechanism is simple: Thomas evaluates the objects, puts them on consignment and, if they find a buyer, the shop collects its percentage. There are those who bring treasures without knowing it and those who try to pass off junk worth its weight in gold. It’s up to Thomas and his team made up of Ilaria, Sara, Maila and Marco to sniff out the deal and convince customers that the right price is what they decide. Between tight negotiations, unexpected discoveries and hilarious moments, the Bargain Market is a world where everything can change hands and every object can turn into a small stroke of luck.
“Occasion Affairs”, nine episodes of 60 minutes, by the Trentino company Giuma production, with the support of the Film Commission, will be broadcast on DMAX on Digital Terrestrial channel 52, Tivùsat channel 28.
