After several years of hosting Rai and managing the Sanremo Festival, Amadeus preferred change air to face a new challenge. The TV presenter is indeed landed on the Nine, thus reaching his colleague Fabio Fazio. It was certainly him who convinced him staggering salary, but also the freedom to propose innovative formats capable of capturing the public’s attention. In the meantime, however, Discovery has taken hold Usual Unknowns which will air from September (with a different title). But not everyone is enthusiastic about this choice.
Alessandro Cecchi Paone, for example, did not send word. In the weekly New TV commented on Amadeus’ choice to essentially re-propose the same formats that had already been successful in previous years. “Nine disappoints in terms of innovation – declared the journalist -. Anyone looking for something new will be disappointed.” And the latest news arriving on the programs broadcast on Nove seem to prove Cecchi Paone right.

According to what was reported by Sorrisi.comthe website of TV, Smiles and SongsAmadeus will host The bullfight on the Nine in autumn. The historic format is in fact the father of all talent shows that ever was invented by Corrado. It is one of the pillars of Italian entertainment, not only on TV: it was born as a radio program in 1968, while on the small screen it debuted in 1986, presented by Corrado until 1997. After the host’s death, the show was also helmed Gerry Scotti (between 2002 and 2009), Flavio Insinna (in 2011) and Carlo Conti (between 2018 and 2020).
