Raffaello Tononin recent years Mediaset, first as a commentator on Pomeriggio 5, Maurizio Costanzo Show, then as a competitor in various reality shows such as Big Brother and La Fattoria, has come a long way. He has built a solid career which, however, he seems to want to put into a corner, while he cultivates his true passion.
The witness
He himself revealed his new job months ago, but Alessandro Rosica reported some testimonies from those who met him while serving tables in the tavern where he works: «He rolled up his sleeves and works as a waiter. Hats off to those like you who don’t indulge in dirty games just to make a living. (…) As you can see, he is a waiter in Romagna, it’s not a gag, he really is a waiter. Hats off to him who earns his day with humility. He often goes to help out in this place.”
The new job
«My first great love was hospitality, clearly for a fee, in all the hotels on the Riviera. I was a customer and wanted to be an owner. I have been in the past. For months I have been collaborating in a reality that warms my heart because when others are having fun and you with them, there is no need to ask questions. I laugh with satisfaction, today I juggle between the serving dishes and the cameras», Tonon said on Instagram last February.
«When customers ask me: “Is it Tonon? I answer yes but the rich brother is in Milan, I need the pension. Big laughs. I asked to take this shot sitting down, that’s how it used to work. The innkeeper in the middle and loyal customers around. I long for the old days, which is why I do my best so that they can return».
