Cristiano Malgioglio: “If Angelina wins you will see me naked covered only by tulips”

“Our Angelina Mango she has all the numbers to take home the victory at Eurovision 2024, I’m rooting for her. On Saturday I will be in Madrid but I will follow the final from there and, if Angelina wins, for joy I will undress as I did with the Maneskin, but instead of remaining in my underwear I will only be covered by a bundle of tulips. I’ll probably post the video on Instagram.” Cristiano Malgioglio comments on Eurovision 2024 in view of the final on Saturday 11 May in Malmö, Sweden and announces his umpteenth “striptease” in the event of Italy’s victory.

“Angelina will get noticed because she presents herself with a particular song, different from all the others and this is already a great fortune. A pop star is being born and I am very happy about this”, says the author who says he has listened to all the songs competing in this year’s Eurovision.

He would also like to return to comment on the Contest: “I worked very well with Gabriele Corsi, I remember when we were left in our underwear for the Maneskin victory. I want to thank Claudio Fasulo (deputy director of prime time entertainment for Rai, ed.) for wanting me alongside Corsi as an expert judge during the performance of the songs at both the 2021 and 2022 Eurovision. The curious thing was that my comments were translated in all the languages ​​of the world, perhaps because I have never minced my words.”

“It took years for half of Europe to forgive my comments about the Spanish singer Chanel Terrero (Malgioglio defined the competitor as the ‘Jennifer Lopez of the discount stores’, ed.) but I can say though that compared to Zorra (by the duo Nebulossa, who is competing this year at Eurovision 2024, ed.), a very vulgar word for a song in my opinion, Chanel’s song was a Grammy worthy. But with Chanel I made it up to her, I sent her 33 red roses which were her number of years and I had her deliver a message which was broadcast on Spanish television in a program where she was a guest. The only problem was that for a while I had to disconnect my cell phone because I received insults from all over Latin America.”

On the songs in this edition, he says: “I only save five. I like that one Angelina Mango (Boredomed.) and Portugal also moved me because it presented a song linked to its tradition sung by a girl who has an incredible voice (Yolanda with the song Grito, ed.). Certain, Iolanda is not Mariza and she is not even Dulce Pontes which are unique voices but Portugal always makes a good impression. The song from Croatia is also very interesting (Rim tim tagi dim of Baby Lasagna, ed.) which is very powerful. I also support Germany (in the race Isaac with Always on the run, ed.) which is very radio-friendly. Norway also presents itself at Eurovision with a song (Ulveham) sung by a girl who has a captivating, melodic and very contagious voice (Gate, ed.). Same thing with France which presents itself with a very elegant and beautiful song (Slimane con My loveed.), perhaps if a woman had sung it it would have had more pathos but he is a very good singer and the song is very elegant even if I don’t know if young people will be able to perceive it well because it is very nostalgic”.

“Another song that I really liked was the one from Greece (Zari Of Marina Sattied.) – he continues – which I think young people will really like and which reminds me a lot Super Bowl by Jennifer Lopez. The beautiful thing about this Eurovision is also the arrangements which I find amazing, they even make the tiles dance. However, I found more noise than songs. I expected something more from Sweden.”
