This is Angelina Mango’s evening: the singer will represent Italy at Eurovision 2024, bringing the song with which he won the Sanremo festival, La Noia, to the stage of the Malmö Arena, in southern Sweden.

The 23-year-old artist, tonight, on the occasion of the second semi-final, will not challenge the other competitors: the actual race will be held on Saturday 11 May. The event can be followed at 9pm on Rai 2, with commentary by Mara Maionchi, live from Rome, and by Gabriele Corsi directly from the Malmö Arena, or live on radio and video on Rai Radio2, hosted by Diletta Parlangeli and Matteo Osso.

Singers from 19 nations will compete against each other: each performance will be preceded by a postcard which will show two historic successes of the country at Eurovision in sequence and will allow the artists to present themselves as if they were writing a post on social media network.

And it’s the first time that the six countries that “by right” reached the final will performnamely the «Big 5» (Italy, France, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain) and Sweden, the country hosting the event.

This evening will also be presented by Petra Mede and Malin Akerman. Several guests will also participate: the Herreysthe Swedish duo who won at the Eurovision Festival in 1984 (this was the name of Eurovision), the Finnish rapper Käärijäin second place in 2023, the Greek Helena Paparizouthird in 2021, the Turkish Sertab Erenerwinner of Eurovision 2003 and the Swedish Charlotte Perrelliin first place in 1999.
