Rai has sent a letter of disciplinary complaint to Serena Bortone in reference to the post published by the journalist on her social profiles on 20 April regarding the Scurati affair. Rai announced this in a note. “As per practice – explains the company in the note – in the complaint the journalist is asked for any justifications and clarifications”.
Sergio: “Due act”
On the Scurati case “neither the guest’s participation nor the reading of the monologue was prohibited”, clarified Rai CEO Roberto Sergio in the Supervisory hearing, speaking of the writer Antonio Scurati’s failure to participate in Serena Bortone’s program on 25 April. The CEO underlines that “this is a necessary act”, which “will be followed by a process provided for by the regulation”. It is therefore not “a disciplinary measure, it is a request for clarification which will be evaluated and then decide which measures will be put in place”, says Sergio. “It is a dispute but not a measure”. The CEO then underlined that “the affair has created reputational damage, the accusation of non-existent censorship has overwhelmed everything has been done.”

Rossi: “There is equality of rights and duties”
