The sensational flop of a Mediaset prime time program has left everyone speechless: the collapse is incredible, how can we fix it?
A flop which very few would have ever expected but which, in reality, happened. Mediaset failed to capitalize on one of the programs which, when it was released for the first time, had literally amassed shares and ratings, only to then slowly decline episode after episode. Perhaps the format has become too old and has in fact never managed to innovate to the point of creating in the viewer, always eager for novelty, that sense of “new” that we all expect when we watch TV?
It’s hard to say, but one thing is certain: Pier Silvio Berlusconi and all his staff will almost certainly take action to try, as far as possible, to repair the damage next year. What doesn’t seem to have worked? There are certainly many ingredients, but one thing must mainly be said: it is not a conductor problem, although many people think so.

The Babe and the Nerd flop, what didn’t work?
The reference is to The Babe and the Nerd, which airs as always on Italia Uno and which this year was hosted by Enrico Papi. The ratings don’t seem to have paid off, with a 5.71% share of the last episode which seems to have been, in a certain way, a real tombstone for the program which never got off the ground. What didn’t work? It’s difficult to say exactly but the feeling is that the show in terms of dynamics has probably no longer managed to warm the hearts of viewers.
If, in fact, in the early years there was actually that sense of novelty, now it is quite repetitive and predictable, thanks to many seasons now that have made the public understand where it wants to go. A few years ago we tried with the “…And vice versa” version in which there were “Pupi” and “Secchione” which was certainly an interesting find which in a certain way paid off.
We’ll see what the future of this show will be but one thing is certain: his future is more in the balance than ever.
