AGI – Bruno Vespa is reminded by the president of RAI, Marinella Soldi, for the presence of only male guests in the episode of ‘Porta a Porta’ in which abortion was discussed.
Sources on Viale Mazzini let it be known that the president of Rai reminded Vespa of the fundamental role of the public service, in particular on such a sensitive issue which directly calls women’s bodies into question.

Among other things, the president of Rai, Marinella Soldi, has been involved for a long time in carrying forward the ‘No women no panel’ project, an initiative born within the European Commission and relaunched by Rai with the objective of “enhancing skills, experiences and talents, including female ones, for a more complete implementation of the principles of equal democracy and pluralism, guaranteeing the adequate representation of women in conferences, institutional appointments and talk shows”.

Starting precisely from the presence, in numerical terms, of women in public debates. Which was not the case in the episode of ‘Porta a Porta’ where the topic of abortion was also addressed.
The last signature of the ‘No women no panel’ memorandum of understanding was signed between Rai and Campidoglio on 9 April, but the project has already had the support of 45 local entities: 8 Regions, 21 Local Authorities (Municipalities , Provinces and metropolitan cities) and 16 Universities.
