Whoever says woman says “Santone” (and Centocelle)

There is a new Santone in Centocelle and she is a woman! The RaiPlay Original series Il Santone – returns with the second season. The 8 30-minute episodes will be available as a boxset from tomorrow on RaiPlay. The surreal comedy series is inspired by Oscio, the famous character created by Federico Palmaroli – a phenomenon with 2 million followers – and had a first season starring Neri Marcorè in the role of an antenna operator, Enzo Baroni, who transforms into a neighborhood guru with bizarre phrases. This second season sees Carlotta Natoli become the absolute protagonist in the role of Teresa Baroni, the wife of the antenna technician who disappeared in a hole in Rome. The second season begins one year after the death of the Saint: his wife Teresa (Carlotta Natoli), who unexpectedly takes on the spiritual guidance of Centocelle and wears Enzo’s mundu, is left alone with her daughter Novella (Beatrice De Mei) who would like to leave the neighborhood and move to EUR and is still romantically linked to Mirko (Claudio Segaluscio).

And a religious war also breaks out: Teresa will have to fight for the purity of faith against the Only Oscio (Francesco Paolantoni), a pseudo saint of Neapolitan origin who passes himself off as the reincarnation of Enzo and who intends to exploit Centocelle to pay his debts with a crime boss. But she fights armed with the motto of Mellonian memory: «” I am a mother, I am a woman, I am a saint”

The result is very funny it must be said, even if Marcorè was Marcorè.

And the emptiness is felt.
