Bursts the chaos in the house of Friends. Only a few days ago, the sad response arrived regarding the health conditions of one of the students, the dancer Gaia. The latter, in fact, during the rehearsals of a choreography she hurt her knee and, so, after some medical checks, the production informed her that in these conditions she cannot continue dancing. However, her teacher, Raimondo Todaro, in order to make her stay at the school, proposed a solution that Gaia’s classmates did not like at all: let another girl dance in the dancer’s place during the three weeks of stoppage.
Maria De Filippi’s announcement
“You have to sit still for three weeks and this becomes incompatible with a race. It can happen in the life of a dancer, we can’t do anything, we’re sorry.”, communicated the landlady, Maria De Filippi, in connection with the small house where the students have been living – for months now. At that point, Gaia burst into tears, asking in every way to remain in the school. “You have to retire and you can’t dance”underlined Maria De Filippi, before trying to console her: “I imagine that next year this program will be there and you will be one of the students”. We remember, in fact, that even in the case of Mattia Zenzola, the same thing happened and the following year the Latin dancer raised the winner’s cup of Friends.
Raimondo Todaro’s proposal
Once they learned the news, Raimondo Todaro and Anna Pettinelli immediately wanted to speak with Gaia to propose a solution: “I thought of something that was already done many years ago on Amici, find a girl to dance for you until you get better”, said the professor. And again, added Professor Pettinelli: “She would dance for you, that way we have hope. You would help the team indirectly.”. At that point Gaia, despite her doubts, decided to accept: “Let’s go with this solution”.
The reaction of the students
Faced with Gaia’s decision, there was no shortage of controversies and the complaints of the students who went wild with the most disparate comments. In particular, those who didn’t take it well were Mida (who was also her ex), Dustin, Marisol and Sofia. “It’s unfair, if the girl isn’t eliminated, Gaia has the semi-final guaranteed. If Gaia were to win, it wouldn’t be fair to those who don’t win, because she hasn’t danced for three episodes”thundered Midas. “A better dancer than Gaia could also arrive”Dustin added.
To these statements, were also added those of Sofia who declared: “It’s not respectful towards anyone, you have to take one at the same level. And who is he? What respect do you have for yourself? But what way is that?”. Marisol also took part in the appeal and commented: “I’m so sorry, but it’s not fair to anyone. It’s not fair to us, for her to carry on with another person’s ass. She has to deserve to move forward with her ass. You don’t make a good impression on us if you let someone else go ahead in your place”.
Gaia’s reaction and Anna Pettinelli’s anger
Called for an interview by Anna Pettinelli and Raimondo Todaro, Gaia was shown the comments of her adventure companions and, at this point, the prof. Pettinelli indulged in one outburst for the behavior of some students: “I felt bad about it. Nobody was interested in you, they were all focused on the replacement. Whether you are there or not, no one cares. I heard ‘But this dancer didn’t work hard like we did’”. Then, he added: “Are we in prison where punishments are meted out? Doesn’t that count as singing or dancing? Midas, poor thing, had to go to lessons so he could learn to sing. Poor thing. Let’s get serious again, are there no famous dancers or singers without having made Amici?”. Finally, he concluded: “You should worry about dancing and singing, not about who you’re up against or who’s coming”.
Once the discussion with her teachers was over, Gaia returned to the house and did not hide her opinion sorry for the behavior of classmates: “It’s difficult for me to make a choice too, I’m sorry about that you had no empathy. You have your opinion, it’s ok, but you thought about who will arrive and not about me, who have been with you for all these months in here”. It’s still: “I don’t want to argue, I don’t want to talk about it. I don’t want to miss this opportunity. Some of your words hurt me, I don’t like conflicts, but I expected more empathy from you. I don’t judge you for what you think, but I walked in that door and heard you talking.”.
In any case, whether the companions agree or not, the dancer who will perform in Gaia’s place has already been identified: we are talking about Aurora Ranvestelwho already participated in the program last year, but was unable to access due to an injury.
