Virginia von Fürstenberg due to death, of Agnelli’s niece. She was found dead today Wednesday 10 May 2023, in Merano, after falling from a hotel window.
The woman was 48 years old, and in February she had disappeared from home for a few days, before returning.
Virginia Maria Clara Von Fürstenberg probably fell from a high floor of the Palace hotel in Merano. Her body was found in the morning on the terrace on the first floor of the hotel.
The investigators immediately ruled out the involvement of other people in the incident.

Who was Virginia Maria Clara Von Furstenberg? She was born on 5 October 1974 in Genoa, she died today Wednesday 10 May 2023 in Merano, in the autonomous province of Bolzano, in South Tyrol. Virginia Maria Clara Von Fürstenberg worked as an artist and stylist. She was the daughter of Elisabetta Guarnati and Sebastian Egon Von Fürstenberg as well as the granddaughter of the well-known entrepreneur Gianni Agnelli.
His grandfather had founded Banca Ifis, while his grandmother, Clara Agnelli, was the sister of the lawyer, Andrea Agnelli’s uncle.
Virginia Maria Clara was born in Genoa and lived in Milan.

Virginia Von Fürstenberg married in 1992, Baron Alexandre Csillaghy de Pacsér, a Hungarian nobleman. From the couple, their son was born, Baron Miklós Tassilo Csillagh, now an equestrian. Virginia and her husband were divorced in 2022.
In 2004, she married Paco Polenghi, with whom she had two children: Otto Leone Maria Polenghi and Santiago Polenghi. Even with her second husband the story ended, leading to her disappearance.
On October 28, 2017, Virginia married Janusz Gawronski, a descendant of a noble and ancient Polish family, before divorcing in 2020.
Gianni Agnelli’s niece was therefore married three times, and had a total of five children from her husbands.

Dad Sebastian had reported her missing. In the days prior to her disappearance, dating back to Wednesday 15 February 2023, her daughter had not shown any strange behavior.
After failing to contact her, the father had presented himself at the Carabinieri station in Marghera, to report her missing. However, it was not the first time this happened, because the woman had already left in October 2022.
On Sunday, February 19, 2023, Virginia returned home. The family had launched a curt statement: “The lady returned to her home on Sunday”.
On that occasion, he had not left any messages before leaving, and therefore no one had become suspicious. Before the fact, however, the 48-year-old had been hospitalized for health problems in the previous weeks, not making what happened to him public.
The past and anorexia: Dismorphophobia
Virginia Maria Clara had suffered from anorexia, which is why she had decided to stage Dismorphophobia, the mirror stage, with a theatrical performance made up of international artists: directed by Tommaso Trak, with the choreography studied by Patrick King. The story was told by Sveva Alviti and played by her young daughter Ginevra Csillaghy Von Zu Fürstenberg and by Margherita and Angelica Campello, Giacinta della Chiesa, Maria Sole Torlonia and Mia Patrucchi.
