The 73-year-old Calabrian was killed following a firefight with the agents. On Sunday he went door-to-door shooting with a semi-automatic pistol in the Bellaria Residence in Vaughan, Canada, where he had moved when he was 17 years old.
He was called Francesco Villiwas 73 years old and originally from the Vibonese area, the man who on Sunday 18 December in “Bellaria Residence” in Vaughan, Canadaopened fire and killed 5 people, only to be shot down by the police who were trying to arrest him.
Originally from Vazzanoin the province of Vibo Valentia, Villi had left there Calabria when he was 17. According to the findings, she lived in the same residence where she carried out the murders and had long complained about “abuse and torture” which he said he was going to suffer.
The victims (the authorities have not disclosed the names) are three men and two women shot in three apartments and on different floors of “column” B of the condominium north of Toronto. Three of them would be members of the condominium council.
In several videos on his Facebook page, including one posted on the day of shootinghis frustration with the is documented building management and with other residents. According to local sources, he had been feuding with the same condominium for some time and had been denounced several times.
The council presented arestraining order against him for the “alleged threatening, abusive, intimidating and harassing behavior” of the tenant. The alleged killer, who had sued the condominium, claimed that an electrical substation built under his apartment was not up to standard and produced “electromagnetic waves” which caused him discomfort.
A court also banned him from posting on social media. In recent months, the company that owns the building had forced to sell his apartment as a “penalty” for not having complied with the previous measure of the judges.
In a post published on Sunday, a few hours before the massacre, the man had defined them “killers” for the lawsuits they had brought against him.
“For seven years you are destroying my life. Now you want to take me to jail. You are buying the judges of the Ontario Supreme Court, you have the money to be able to manipulate the entire judicial system,” she says referring to the condominium board members.
Detectives arrived at the scene minutes after the shooting, finding “a terrifying scene” in the building. Villi would go to shoot from door to door with a semi-automatic pistol. Identified by the police still inside the building, he was killed following a firefight with agents.
