At Palazzo Caputi a meeting/debate for Europe Day

Europe Day is celebrated on May 9th every year. The date coincides with the historic declaration of unity and non-belligerence sanctioned by the former French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman on 9 May 1950. For the occasion, the AEDE collective (Association Européenne des enseignants) – “Pia Olivieri” Ruvo section of Puglia, Terlizzi – is pleased to invite citizens to the meeting/debate “Images and perspectives for Europe”, which will be held on Wednesday 8 May at Palazzo Caputi, from 5.00 pm. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Ruvo di Puglia and takes advantage of the collaboration of the Department of Political Science of the University of Bari, Europe Direct Puglia and the European Documentation Center. The evening was introduced by the secretary of the AEDE association, Elena Olivieri, and Dr. Lorenzo Scarcelli (Europe Direct Puglia). The speakers will be Prof. Adriana Basile (High School Campus “Silos Fiore” Terlizzi), Prof. Angelo Chielli (professor of political philosophy at UniBa) and Dr. Emanuele Quarta (PhD student at UniBa), who will offer food for thought and possible answers useful for outlining a clear picture of the Europe of tomorrow.
