FERMO – The 3rd International “Città di Fermo” Walking Football Tournament concluded on Sunday 30 June at the “Firmum Village” with the Marche team taking the lead.
Victory in the over 50s of Fermana Fc Wf (organizing company, in the PHOTO) and of the cousins of Pro Calcio Ascoli in the over 60s beating in the final the canary team of the same category. The yellow and blues had the better in the final on the strong Jamboree Livorno by 2-0 with goals by bomber Simone Santanafessa and mister Giordano Paoloni. The Ascolani instead had the better by winning the final in the over 60s clearly beating the other Yellow and blue team of the same category.
The event began on Saturday morning at the Teatro dell’Aquila with greetings from the institutions of the Municipality of Fermo, from the sports councilor Alberto Scarfini and the deputy mayor Mauro Torresi who brought greetings from the mayor Paolo Calcinaro, congratulating the organizers for the event set up and for the promotion of the city of Fermo with this event which has now reached international caliber.
The morning continued with an aperitif at the Girfalco chalet and a convivial dinner at Villa Raccamadoro. Then the two days of play, Saturday 29th in the afternoon and Sunday 30th in the morning, concluded with the awards ceremony attended by Antonio Dell’Olio, former player of Ascoli and Fiorentina with 197 appearances in Serie A and 7 goals in the top division, and by Alberto Maria Scarfini, sports councilor of the Municipality of Fermo.

Today, Fermana Fc Wf can certainly be considered one of the strongest teams in Italy and Europe of this sport that is now spreading like wildfire throughout the world”.
For a commitment that ends, one that is about to begin with an invitation at an international level: the yellow and blue team will participate in a few days at the “Sweden Summer Cup” in Malmoe, Sweden.
