There were 350,000 votes collected on the CIAK website, ciakmagazine.it for the second edition of the Ciak d’Oro Series TVwhich allowed the public of fans to directly choose their favorite titles and the protagonists of a year of stories told by great seriality, voting for them on the Ciak website, ciakmagazine.it
What emerged was a snapshot of the Italian and international series and protagonists most loved by the general public, among the titles released between 1 April 2023 and 31 May 2024.
Seven categories were voted: Best Italian Series of the Year, Best Italian Actor and Actress of the Year, Best International Series and Best International Lead Actor, in this case without distinction of gender.
Also present this year are two autonomous categories dedicated to the tastes of the younger audience: Best Series and Best Leading Actor (No Gender). In this case, the selection of the nominations and the “call to action” to vote was handled by another reality of the Ciak universe, the one that refers to the site ciakgeneration.it, leader in information on TV series for young people and very young people, edited by Daniele Giannazzo, one of the most established Italian creators of TV series.
Let’s get to the winners, chosen by the public in three phases starting from a list of nominations prepared by the Ciak editorial staff: Best Italian series of the year was elected by the public Un’estate fa. Maria Chiara Giannetta, protagonist of the second season of Blanca, was voted as Best Italian actress, while Luca Argentero was elected Best actor for his performance in Doc – Nelle tue mani 3.
Among the international series, Lupin 3 triumphed by a hair’s breadth, after a long head-to-head with another popular Netflix series, The Crown 6.
Best International Lead Actress was voted by a landslide to India Amarteifio, the protagonist of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, also offered by Netflix.
In the two categories dedicated to the younger audience, the Best Italian series was Pesci piccoli – Un’agenzia. Molti idee. Poco budget, by Prime Video signed and interpreted by The Jackal, while Nicolas Maupas won among the Protagonists of the year faces, thanks to his interpretations in Un professore 2 and Noi siamo leggenda.
The panorama of awards will be completed in the next few days by the awards curated by the Ciak editorial team, including the Superciak d’Oro 2023.
